Restaurateurs feted at 22nd Cornerstone Awards

Delaware Restaurant Association honors innovators, icons, changemakers

The Delaware Restaurant Association held the 22nd annual Restaurant Industry Cornerstone Awards Oct. 7, at the Lighthouse Cove Events Center in Dewey Beach.

Each year, the DRA celebrates the contributions of Delaware’s restaurant industry, and the ways restaurants enrich and serve as the true cornerstone of our neighborhood communities, the local economy and unlimited career opportunities for all.

Honored this year were Mrs. Robino’s Restaurant, Cornerstone Award; the partners of Second Block Hospitality, Restaurateurs of the Year; and Industry Impact Award recipients Katie Kutler of kaffé KARMA., Matt Kern of One Coastal, and Hank Rosenberg of Harrington Raceway & Casino.

Restaurant owners, operators, vendors, elected officials and industry supporters gathered at the DRA-hosted gala to toast the resiliency, spirit and camaraderie of Delaware’s restaurant industry with fine food and cocktails, beer and wine from 30 stations, plus live music from Fun Size featuring Ed Shockley.
